Carpenter/Handyman

We are currently accepting applications for a Carpenter/Handyman. Our ideal candidate will be a jack-of-all-trades, with in-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, hydraulic systems, and basic tools and appliances. To excel in this position, you must be an outstanding problem-solver with exceptional communication and organizational skills. This is a Safety Sensitive position. Must have an acceptable MVR. Key Responsibilities: • Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door/wall repair, & masonry repairs. • Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures. • Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, or other drainage issues. • Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs and upgrades. • Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs. • Maintaining the building HVAC equipment to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly. • Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roof. • Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries. • Painting the building when old paint has become faded or chipped. • Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs. • Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs & changing air filters. Position Requirements: • Ability to perform strenuous tasks with your hands. • Experience using hand tools and electrical tools. • Ability to kneel, bend, and lift heavy materials. • Ability to measure accurately and read specifications. • Plumbing, carpentry or electrical certifications preferred but not required. • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test. Pursuant to the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive position according to Redstone Construction Group standards & processes. Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: • Safety training required; PPE required outside of office/parking lot area. • PPE must comply with site specific requirements. • Occasional lifting may be required up to 75 lbs. • Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time with frequent bending and stooping. • Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload. • Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions. • The work environment periodically exposes the employees to high levels of noise, grease, and dust that are typically associated with a construction project. • Employees regularly work near heavy equipment and moving machinery. • Work may involve a variety of substances commonly found on construction sites such as form oil, grease, curing compounds, gasoline, diesel fuel and ready mixed concrete. Job Type: Full-time, Hourly Compensation: • Starting at $19 - $23 per hour, DOE. Licensed Contractor (Carpenter+)

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Licensed Contractor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and executing construction, renovation, and repair projects while ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
