Evaluation: Based on local district policy and Arkansas Department of Education guidelines, and performed by the maintenance supervisor. Job Goal: The Maintenance - Carpenter will endeavor to maintain the school facilities and grounds. The Maintenance - Carpenter will establish a knowledge of maintaining building systems and grounds to provide a safe and pleasant learning environment for all students and staff. Performance Responsibilities: • Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures. • Maintains facilities building systems, to include: • Roof inspection and repair. • Door hardware inspection and repair. • Inspection and repair of floor coverings. • Rough and finish carpentry. • Construction and installation of millwork. • Forming, pouring, and finishing of concrete. • Operating of construction equipment and hand tools. • Knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance • Basic knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.) • Maintains and uses the District work order system and District forms. • Follows all Material Safety Data Sheet directions on all chemical products used by the Conway Public School District; uses proper labeling and follows all safety procedures. • Willing to assist with other assignments given by the maintenance supervisor. • Ability to work and communicate with other Conway Public School District personnel and students. • Other duties, as assigned. Tasks include erecting and setting forms for concrete structures, foundations, buildings, and site work per specifications and drawings.
