Carpenter / Laborer

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry and construction tasks, demonstrating proficiency with both hand and power tools. This role requires a hands-on approach to building, repairing, and maintaining structures, ensuring high-quality workmanship in all projects. The Carpenter/Laborer will work closely with other tradespeople and must be comfortable reading blueprints and schematics to complete tasks efficiently. Responsibilities • Execute construction projects according to specifications and blueprints. • Perform trim and frame carpentry, including cabinet installation and door hanging. • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks. • Engage in concrete forming, plastering, siding, roofing, and flooring installation. • Conduct restoration work including water damage restoration and mold remediation. • Assist with fixture installation, rebar installation, and metal stud framing. • Participate in remodeling projects while adhering to safety standards. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites. • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion. Experience • Proven experience in carpentry or related construction fields is essential. • Familiarity with construction estimating, woodworking, assembly, and fabrication techniques is preferred. • Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. • Previous experience on construction sites is highly desirable. • Skills in heavy lifting, caulking, stucco application, electrical work, plumbing, masonry, tile laying, and construction painting are advantageous. • Restoration industry experience will be considered a plus. Commercial Concrete Carpenter

General description: The Concrete Carpenter will perform a variety of carpentry tasks. This individual will work with others and will be under the direction of a Foreman for the successful completion of each building. This person works very diligently with their hands and pays close attention to detail. Tasks include erecting and setting forms for concrete structures, foundations, buildings, and site work per specifications and drawings. This may include concrete tilt-wall forms, symon forms and/or structural forms for columns, decks, elevator cores, parking garages and other cast-in-place concrete structures. Responsibilities: • Fabricate and assemble tilt up panels. • Able to form footings, column pads and other structural concrete. • Install and align embedded items such as anchor bolts, inserts and lifting hardware. • Assist with layout as needed. • Strip forms after panels are poured. • Maintain and keep track of tools. Requirements: • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings. • Physical strength and stamina to perform tasks as needed. • Knowledge of tilt up panels and the process (preferred) • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation • Able to work weekends if needed. • Able to provide basic hand tools for carpentry. • OSHA Certification or willingness to obtain one. Working conditions: • Work outside in various working conditions. • Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
