Holder Construction is currently seeking experienced Carpenters to support our project located in Denver. The perfect person for this job is a team player who thrives in a challenging and fast-paced yet supported environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of teamwork, the ability to work independently on assignments, handle multiple projects at one time while remaining flexible, and working within tight deadlines. Carpenter responsibilities include performing skilled carpentry work in the maintenance and repair of commercial buildings and facilities, including but not limited to rough carpentry, misc. concrete activities, or finish wall paneling, casework, and trim. Duties include constructing and maintaining safety handrails and hole protection, steps and gang ladders, temporary weather enclosures and protection. This position will provide primary support to our field supervision and must demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks, maintain professionalism, and use critical thinking to solve issues. Ideal candidates for this position will possess 3 years of experience, able to read drawings and have training in construction safety protocols (i.e. OSHA 10, fall protection, mobile elevated platform (boom and scissor)). A high school diploma or GED are a plus as well as strong time management skills. Qualified Candidates must be agile/mobile, remain alert, be able to stand or walk for long periods of time, use fingers, hands & arms to reach, handle and manipulate objects, climb up/down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects, work on uneven surfaces/heights, be able to read/write, have the ability to see & hear well either naturally or with correction. Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes weighing 50-100 lbs., 75% of the time. Salary is between $23.00 to $33.50 per hour and is determined by experience. Individuals must be able to work in an OSHA compliant safety environment, work outside and must be able to work overtime and weekend hours. Punctuality and promptness are required every day.
