Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and reliable Carpenter Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist skilled carpenters in various construction projects, contributing to the successful completion of tasks while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the carpentry field. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities • Assist carpenters with framing, trim carpentry, and fixture installation. • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans. • Support concrete forming and rebar installation activities. • Participate in the restoration of structures, including water damage restoration and mold remediation. • Engage in various tasks such as siding, roofing, plastering, and drywall installation. • Help with cabinet installation, door hanging, and flooring installation. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites. • Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met. Requirements • Previous construction site experience is preferred. • Familiarity with construction estimating and basic carpentry skills is a plus. • Ability to operate hand tools and power tools proficiently. • Knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials. • Experience with heavy lifting and physical labor is essential. • Understanding of safety protocols on job sites. • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, masonry, or remodeling is advantageous. • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting. • Willingness to learn new skills related to the restoration industry.
