Victoria Renovations is looking for a Lead Carpenter to cover northern metro Atlanta (Brookhaven, Sandy Springs, North Druid Hills, Dunwoody, Chastain) as a full-time representative of the company. We are a design-build home remodeler, specializing in kitchens, bathrooms, basements, porches, wine rooms, additions, and whole house remodels. Each team can have anywhere between 3-5 projects going at one time, which are managed by subcontracting out demo, framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, tile, flooring, glass, granite, etc. We look for our lead carpenters to install doors, trim (mandatory), hardware, appliances, related protections and dust control, as well as coordinate delivery of materials, manage subcontractors, and communicate with the homeowner. The two-person field teams are supported by our Field Supervisor, our in-office Selections Coordinator, and the Salesperson that scoped out the project with the homeowner. Position Expectations • Primary responsibilities include carpentry skills, problem solving, working with multiple customers, and project starts/close-outs • Required to be able to measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials at sufficient quality for high-end residential remodels • Can install hardware and appliances, coordinate delivery of materials, instruct direct laborers and other construction helpers. • Presents well and can provide exceptional customer service to upscale clientele. • Provide technical direction and be responsible for overall quality of work. • General knowledge or construction trades, materials and construction methods • Understands and reads blueprints and specification. Can identify gaps in scope. • Experience in managing multiple tasks, priorities, projects • Dedicated to quality artisanship and clear communication Required Experience/Education • 5+ Years of experience in construction required; residential remodeling preferred • Applicant must have reliable transportation, their own tools and current GA state driver's license. Compensation • First two weeks are a trial period at $25/hour where candidates would work with an existing team • Two weeks through 3 months would be as a contractor (i.e. 1099 employee) at $30/hour • After 3 months, we convert to full-time salary at $70k per year and start accruing paid-time-off (PTO) that consists of vacation (1 week/year) and sick-time (3 days/year) • Additional compensation thereafter based upon aptitude and tenure. • We provide one tanks of gas/week during the initial 3 months, and issue a company credit card for fuel purchases and ancillary materials once converted to full-time employment.
