Job Responsibilities: • Oversee and lead a crew of carpenters in the construction of formwork, falsework, and structural components for heavy civil projects. • Read and interpret blueprints, project specifications, and technical drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Construct, assemble, and dismantle formwork and shoring systems for concrete structures. • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations, company policies, and project timelines. • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to optimize workflow and efficiency. • Train and mentor junior carpenters and laborers to improve skill development and maintain high standards of workmanship. • Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely and effectively. • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with project specifications. Qualifications & Requirements: • 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. • Proficiency in constructing formwork, falsework, and other structural frameworks. • Strong knowledge of construction materials, techniques, and safety protocols (OSHA compliance). • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications. • Experience operating heavy equipment and power tools related to carpentry. • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. • Willingness to travel with possible overnights.
