Carpenter/Framer

C2 (C-Squared) is a design-build contractor that self-performs framing & rough carpentry for renovations, additions and custom homes. Our carpenters range from apprentice-level to master carpenters with experience in flooring, trim and finish carpentry. Carpenter Job Responsibilities: • Installs walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using wood or steel. • Fits and installs window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim. • Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels. • Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment. • Removes damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools. • Moves necessary materials around jobsite as assigned. • Cleans up worksite debris. Potential Additional Responsibilities as applicable: • Custom cabinet fabrication & installation. • Finish Carpentry including trim and semi-custom woodworking. • Subcontractor instruction and management Seasonal Work: C2 has been fortunate to maintain year-round work for our carpenters. A mixture of interior and exterior work can reduce "weather days" and layoff during winter months. As we work in the St. Louis metro area, 3-4 months of the year are quite cold and carpenters may work in cold conditions during winter months. Benefits: C2 Carpenters receive 40 hours of paid time off after 52 weeks of service (based on working hours) as defined in new-hire paperwork. All open positions are 1099 independent contractor positions. Pay: Pay range is subject to experience and capability. Carpenters range from $20-$35 per hour.
