Lead Finish Carpenter - Traveling Position

Description: LEAD FINISH CARPENTER We are a leader in Millwork and Fixtures installation seeking experienced working Lead Finish Carpenters who can work in a diverse range of projects overseeing and performing fixture, casework and millwork installations in commercial and retail environments. “We have traveling positions available. If you are looking for stability, outstanding compensation and want to work for a Leader in the Industry, please contact us now” REQUIREMENTS Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience: 5+ years fixture installation and retail or commercial finish carpentry experience. 1 year minimum supervisory experience Certification(s): OSHA10 or 30, Forklift, aerial lift (Company will provide if necessary) Technology: Able to download and use APPS on phone and mobile devices. Able to make electronic submissions though company portal. Physical Demands : Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time, climb ladders, work from an aerial lift. Frequent bending, kneeling, twisting and squatting. Work with materials over your head for short durations. Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Must be able to pass a Drug Screening, Criminal Background Check and MVR screening for approved driving status. Must be able to complete a Company Sponsored CPR/First Aid Training course online. Available to work overtime as needed. Our typical workweek is 40 to 60 hours. Be flexible to work non-conventional shifts when required (some overnight projects may occur). Able to travel and be away from home for durations from 2-8 weeks depending on our contract. Must provide own basic hand tools and cordless drill. Requirements: KEY RESPONSIBILITY AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS · Able to complete onsite millwork, cabinet and countertop, fixture, graphic and décor installs in commercial and retail environments · Personnel management of various crew sizes ranging from 3-6 employees or larger projects of 8 or more employees · Able to receive, stage and manage large inventory of millwork and fixture parts for distribution and installation · Able to assess site conditions, construction and delivery schedules and when these factors are not aligned, clearly and effectively communicate to Project Management Team, onsite contractor or when necessary, our Client · Able to establish and understand layouts for millwork, fixtures and other elements · Must be able to represent the company in a professional manner at all times. Generate additional work validations as required when non-contract scope is required. · Perform all tasks of a finish carpenter including installation of cabinets, countertops, standing and running trim (base, chair rail, crown moldings, door and window casings), scribing, coping, installing wall panel systems, retail fixtures etc. · Ability to manage and motivate others while maintaining professionalism · Able to professionally interact with client, general contractors and other sub0contractors · Working knowledge of woodworking hand and power tools · Strong working knowledge and understanding of architectural drawings, shop drawings and fixture plans · Must have a strong commitment to job site safety including maintaining a clean jobsite at all times

Responsibilities • Install commercial metal fixtures and finish carpentry components per blueprints and layout plans • Assemble and anchor displays, cabinets, signage supports, and architectural millwork • Interpret technical drawings for precise placement and alignment • Operate power tools and maintain equipment safely and efficiently • Track hours, tasks, and materials using Android tablets and paper logs • Uphold OSHA safety standards and job site protocols • Communicate effectively with project managers and other trades • Travel to job sites across CA and neighboring states (per diem and travel time paid) Qualifications • 2 or more years of experience in commercial fixture installation or finish carpentry • Strong proficiency with tools like impact drivers, saws, and drills • Ability to read blueprints and layout plans • Reliable, professional, and able to work independently and as part of a crew • Willingness to travel frequently and stay on-site for up to one week at a time • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation • OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus • Due to new U.S. air travel regulations, all traveling team members must have either a real ID or a valid passport.
