Commercial Lead Finish Carpenter - Millwork/Cabinets/Trim -Traveling Position

Description: We are a leader in Millwork, Cabinet and Fixture Installations seeking experienced and enthusiastic working Lead Finish Carpenters who can perform in a diverse range of situations overseeing and installing fixtures, casework and millwork in commercial and retail environments. “We have traveling positions available. One (1) year minimum supervisory experience. Certification(s): OSHA10 or 30, Forklift, aerial lift (Company will provide if necessary). Technology: Able to download and use APPS on phone and mobile devices. Able to make electronic submissions though company portal. Physical Demands: Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time, climb ladders, work from an aerial lift. Frequent bending, kneeling, twisting and squatting. Work with materials over your head for short durations. Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Must be able to pass a Drug Screening, Criminal Background Check and MVR screening for approved driving status. Must be able to complete a Company Sponsored CPR/First Aid Training course online. Available to work overtime as needed. Our typical workweek is 40 to 60 hours. Be flexible to work non-conventional shifts when required (some overnight projects may occur). Able to travel and be away from home for durations from 2-8 weeks depending on our contract. Must provide own basic hand tools and cordless drill. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS • Able to complete onsite millwork, cabinet and countertop, fixture, graphic and décor installs in commercial and retail environments. • Personnel management of various crew sizes ranging from 3-6 employees or larger projects of 8 or more employees. • Able to receive, stage and manage large inventory of millwork and fixture parts for distribution and installation. • Able to evaluate site conditions, construction and delivery schedules and when these factors are not aligned, clearly and effectively communicate to Project Management Team, onsite contractor or when necessary, our client. • Able to establish and understand layouts for millwork, fixtures and other elements. • Must always represent the company in a professional manner. Carpenter

The Carpenter is responsible for maintenance and restoration of the furnishings within San Manuel properties. The Carpenter performs duties ranging from fabricating, finish carpentry, framing, wall repair and faux painting. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Carpenter maintains a proactive and innovative approach to repairs and develops creative solutions to benefit the enterprise and present Best in Class workmanship. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Refinishes, installs and repair various surfaces including but not limited to wood finishes, wall covering, and decorative metal and stone finishes. Conducts faux painting and color matching and mixing of paints to duplicate finishes. Repairs and installs all flooring types including ceramic, LVT, epoxy, hardwood flooring carpet and cove base. 2. Designs, fabricates and installs customized cabinets, furniture, fixtures, shelves and other special customized projects. Repairs furniture and performs other highly skilled finish work. Performs rough framing and performs repairs on existing framework structures that are damaged doors, frames, windows, and cabinetry in compliance with building and fire codes. Performs repairs on existing framework structures that are damaged or structurally unsound. Follows all health and safety regulatory practices during preparation, work, and cleanup. 3. Conducts routine inspections of all venues throughout facility to ensure appearance is up to standards and makes repairs as need to various finishes and materials per venue. 4. Conducts wall repairs and installations such as wallcovering, vinyl wrap, painting, drywall, wall paneling, chair rail, and crown molding. 5. Removes and installs office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested. Customizes new and existing partitions and cubicles if needed. 6. Documents work performance, material usage, estimated repair time, and status using work order system. Works with various trades, vendors, general contractors, and sub-contractors in completing projects or tasks. Request necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks. 7. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department. EDUCATIONAL, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or GED required. • Minimum two (2) years of carpentry experience in building trade required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA) • General knowledge and understanding of plumbing, electrical and HVAC. • Proficient knowledge of various materials, wood, melamine, acrylics, laminates, MDFs, etc. to identify supplies needed. • Ability to interpret blueprints, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to type of material required, such as lumber or fiberboard, and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated. REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license. • Select One of the Following: Authorized Driver: Role requires operation or driving of Tribe-owned vehicles or driving patron vehicles. A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the insurance carrier is required.
