PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A SEASONAL POSITION WITH THE TOURING DIVISION Responsibilities • Facilitate the seamless setup and dismantling of staging equipment for live events, concerts, and television broadcasts. • Collaborate with the staging department staff during shop preparations to arrange stage equipment according to production specifications. • Label and pack equipment, ensuring organization to guarantee reliable onsite setup. • Anticipate and prepare spare and additional equipment requirements for road events, demonstrating foresight to prevent logistical challenges. • Execute onsite setup and strike procedures with a focus on safety, efficiency, and adherence to established guidelines. • Provide assistance with scenic props and contribute to the movement of scenery during live shows as needed. • Apply carpentry fabrication skills or leverage stagehand experience to enhance the efficiency of equipment handling processes. • Undertake repairs of gear as needed while on tour, ensuring uninterrupted show performances. • Embrace travel with the tour, exhibiting a commitment to working extended hours to meet demanding production schedules. • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, contributing to the overall success of onsite productions. • Undertake any other tasks deemed reasonable or significant by management. See More Details >>Summary The Carpenter / Cabinet Maker is responsible for crafting, assembling, and repairing exhibit booth cabinets and components to maintain on-brand standards. This role involves completing work submitted through work orders according to the established process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Construct custom exhibits, including but not limited to, wall panels, custom cabinets/counters • Design and create templates, jigs, and fixtures for the production of furniture and other products. • Build and fit crates for shipping. • Laminate cabinet and furniture components. • Trim joints and fit parts together. • Prepare and apply solid surfaces, veneers, metal and plastic laminates. • Sand wooden surfaces. • Set up and operate saws and other woodworking machines to cut, shape, and form parts. • Prepare specifications for articles to be made. • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. • Fill out detailed production paperwork and reports. • Adhere to Impact XM policies and processes efficiently and accurately. • Complete all custom fabrication work in a safe, timely and efficient manner. • Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols. Keep up to date on all safety / OSHA training. • Ensure that the custom fabrication department is always clean and presentable.
