General Summary of Position: The Lead Carpenter shall provide and participate in the planning, laying out, construction, repair and assembly of temporary and permanent buildings, additions, partitions and wood structures and fixtures. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics: • Knowledge of residential construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control and safety. • Preferred 10+ years as a Carpenter, should have own tools. • Proficient in framing, trim work, hang doors, drill and set door hardware and set windows. • Layout for stairs and common rafters, installation of cabinets. • Read blueprints. • Mathematical skills and analytical skills necessary to do material estimates. • Able to understand verbal and written instructions. • Adept at establishing relationships with all parties involved in the construction process that facilitate harmonious working relationships during project, and permit prompt resolution of problems and conflicts as they occur. • Able to organize assigned tasks, for completion alone or with help. • Able to complete and fulfill paperwork required for personal time sheets in a timely manner. • Able to envision all steps in assigned tasks. • 99% of time is spent working at job sites. Some driving is required. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required. Work Environment: • Normal hazards associated with construction environment. • Must be able to travel about all areas of jobsite which may require climbing stairs, ladders, scaffolding, working from suspended staging, stepping into and out of excavations, and varying heights. • Must be capable of working in a variety of physical positions which include, but are not limited to, sitting, standing, kneeling, squatting, walking and driving. • Must be able to lift, carry or otherwise move or position objects weighing up to 50 pounds. • Must be physically able to work in a variety of weather conditions which include, but are not limited to, extreme heat, humidity, rainfall, compliment of all seasons, combined with varying starting and stopping times. • Work will involve exposure to varying noise and dust levels. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Remodeler to join our team. Specifically knowledgeable in structural framing & leveling. Consideration will be given to all related skills in the remodeling space. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and remodeling, with the ability to work on various projects from mitigation tear out & rebuilds to new construction projects. Requirements • Proven experience in remodeling or construction, with a focus on residential or commercial projects. • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job (up to 50 pounds). • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment • Strong communication skills • Ideal candidates will have all necessary tools to work effectively in their given trade/specialty • Ability to assume job responsibilities with little training; ideal candidate will have 3+ years experience in the construction/remodeling industry Pay • Pay will be commensurate with proven experience in industry via references or portfolio of work. 90-day trial period will be given to ensure skills are equivalent to experience provided in interview.
