Job Description: Wastequip has an immediate opportunity for a Welder to support our Tyler, TX manufacturing operation. This is a full time position with great benefits including but not limited to Health Insurance, 401K Plan, Paid Vacation/Sick time, and so much more. The ideal candidate will be a MIG Welder with prior experience in a manufacturing environment. Hourly Rate: $19.84hr Responsibilities • Positions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks • Lays out, positions, and tack welds work pieces • Welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld lines • Connects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch. Turns regulator valves to activate flow of gases, lights torch, and adjusts gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flame. Responsibilities of the Welder include, but are not limited to: • Mig, tig, and stick welding • Pipe, steel, and stainless steel welding • Pipe fitting • Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job • Plans details of working procedure, tools and material requirements • Fabricates equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals • Repairs equipment by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment • Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded • Sets up, assembles, and tacks weld parts • Builds up worn or defective surfaces • Uses burning equipment to dismantle assemblies and to cut material to size and shape • Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly Qualifications of the Welder include, but are not limited to: • 2-3 years of previous welding experience • Familiar with iron worker, plasma cutter, pipe threaded, and grinders • Background check, physical, and drug test required Additional Information Physical Demand: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
