The Field Welder will play a vital role in executing welding projects and repairs, focusing mainly on shovels, draglines, and associated equipment. Proficiency in multiple domains is required, encompassing gearing, bearings, seals, bushings, and hydraulics. Position Summary The Specialty Welder I is an entry-level position responsible for performing basic welding tasks in support of steel fabrication operations. Working under the guidance of experienced welders and supervisors, this role contributes to high-quality, code-compliant welds and plays a key role in the successful delivery of structural steel projects. This position requires flexibility to travel to jobsites across the United States as needed. Key Responsibilities 1. Welding Operations • Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on structural steel components • Follow welding procedures and specifications to meet project and quality requirements • Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with company standards 2. Material Preparation • Assist with cutting, grinding, and cleaning materials in preparation for welding • Set up welding stations and adjust equipment based on job-specific instructions • Support layout and assembly of components for welding 3. Quality Control • Inspect finished welds to identify and correct defects such as cracks or porosity • Maintain basic records of welding activity and inspection outcomes • Follow internal quality guidelines and participate in ongoing training 4. Safety and Compliance • Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to all safety protocols • Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and emergency drills • Report safety hazards or incidents immediately to supervision 5. Equipment Maintenance • Conduct basic maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment and tools • Report malfunctioning or unsafe equipment to supervisors • Ensure tools and materials are properly stored and organized 6. Welder 1st shift

Wastequip has an immediate opportunity for a Welder to support our Tyler, TX manufacturing operation. This is a full time position with great benefits including but not limited to Health Insurance, 401K Plan, Paid Vacation/Sick time, and so much more. The ideal candidate will be a MIG Welder with prior experience in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities • Positions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks • Lays out, positions, and tack welds work pieces • Welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld lines • Connects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch. Turns regulator valves to activate flow of gases, lights torch, and adjusts gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flame.
