See More Details >>Position Overview: The role of Millwright is to actively work on field installation projects. When not involved in field installation projects, this position will be involved in day-to-day shop fabrication activities required by the Bryan Arc ‘N’ Spark Branch. This position will require a basic knowledge of all millwright tenants and possess a reasonable understanding of how to read blueprint drawings and specifications. This position will be involved in cutting, grinding, fitting and welding on a daily basis. This position must be able to efficiently communicate and collaborate with all Arc ‘N’ Spark entities, clients and subcontractors. Key responsibilities are as follows but not limited to: 1. Field Project Installation and Execution · Work directly in the acts of field installation and fabrication. · Be able to operate tools and/or equipment for installations, troubleshooting and repair with a reasonable degree of proficiency. · Take direction from the Field Installation Technician or Shop Foreman on specific task and execute in an efficient, workmanlike manner. · Identify and resolve technical challenges during field installations. If a direct solution is not available, these challenges should be brought to the direct supervisor. · Maintain knowledge of current industry standards and advancements to ensure implementation of best practice. 2. Shop Fabrication · Work within the Bryan ANS shop on tasks as delegated by the Bryan Shop Foreman. · Actively coordinate and complete fabrication tasks including, but not limited to, welding, grinding, press brake operation, assembly and fit up. · Be able to operate tools and/or equipment related to shop fabrication tasks with a reasonable level of proficiency. · Be able to read and interpret blueprint drawings and possess a strong mechanical aptitude. 3. Quality Control and Compliance · Ensure all welding and fabrication work performed meets the ANS quality standards and any applicable industry requirements. · Ensure that all personal tooling is in good working condition and able to adequately perform the tasks given. · Ensure that all work performed is in accordance with the drawings provided. Any discrepancy or fabrication conflict with the drawings should be presented to either the Shop Foreman, Project Manager or Field Installation Supervisor dependent upon situation. 4. Reporting and Documentation · Ensure proper reporting of hours work and the project they are associated with to either the Shop Foreman, Project Manager or Field Installation Supervisor. · Ensure that all project-related items are completed and the work area is cleaned. Photograph documentation of completed tasks as required. · Ensure that all inventory usage is accurately tracked and logged to the correct project. 7. Health, Safety, and Risk Management · Ensure that all proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is always used while abiding by all ANS Safety Standards along with all applicable industry standards. · Participate in regular safety audits and training sessions to minimize workplace accidents. · Identify and address any potential risks to the business or the workforce as they arise. These should be brought to the attention of the Shop Foreman, Project Managers or Field Installation Supervisor, dependent upon the situation. · Implement and uphold all client safety training requirements. · Understand and utilize STOP WORK AUTHORITY when needed. 8. Schedule, Timekeeping, and Company Policy · Actively promote and personally observe all company policies, employee handbook, safety and security procedures. · Comply with company work schedule, including but not limited to overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary. · Comply with company timekeeping policy.
