A DAY IN THE LIFE • Fabricates and welds steel components and repairs on heavy equipment with welding equipment as specified by layouts, drawings or specific needs. • Troubleshoots mechanical and installation problems that supervisors are experiencing and fabricates custom tools/components to resolve construction problem; or locates an outside vendor to fabricate the necessary tools/components. What You’ll Need • High School diploma or GED equivalent; or equivalent combinations of training and experience • Welding certificate usually obtained through a 2-year welding program or a minimum of 5 years of welding and metal fabrication experience. • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol screen • Willingness to travel and relocate to the job site (100% travel) What Will Set You Apart • Construction experience/previous assembly experience in the solar industry • Prefer advanced knowledge of work methods, techniques, materials and tools used in metal fabrication and welding.
