Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, layout, fitting, and welding. We design, fabricate and install structural steel and ornamental iron. Additional Information Monday- Friday 7:30am - 4:30 pm. 8 paid holidays after 90 days of employment 1 week Paid vacation after 12 months of employment. Overtime available. Responsibilities • Must have a good work ethic and desire to produce high quality product for our clients. • Candidate will layout, cut, fab and install fabricated stairs and railings. • Punctual and maintain a good attendance record. • Must have confidence to fabricate from shop drawings. • Committed to safety and shop cleanliness. • Must have a positive attitude and be able work within the team. Requirements • Must have exceptional skill as a custom metal fabricator. • 3-4 years of metal fabrication experience. • Mig,stick welder experience. • Valid and active driver's license. • Must pass a drug test upon hiring • Show understanding of shop drawings. This position is responsible for welding materials together using a variety of different equipment and materials. Some of your day-to-day tasks: • Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures • Follow and understand weld Quality Spec. as written and supplied by ATI. • Perform appropriate weld method based on requirements. • Set up components and equipment for welding according to specifications. • Operate angle grinders to prepare/Clean parts that are to be welded. • Perform welding, assembly, grinding, and chipping with efficiency. • Align components using calipers, tape measures, fixtures, etc. • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions. (vertical, horizontal, or overhead) • Repair machinery and other components as needed by welding pieces and filling gaps. • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws. • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety. • Follow all safety measures in ATI's safety policy. • Other responsibilities communicated by the area lead. What do you need to be able to do? • Proven experience as a welder. • Experience with different welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA, etc.) • Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties is essential. • Experience in using electrical or manual tools. (Deburring tools, squares, calipers, etc.) • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings to ensure a quality product is produced. • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing. (face shield, gloves, etc.) • Able to lift up to 70 lbs. • Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus, not required.
