In this role, you will be responsible for joining, fabricating, and/or repairing metal and other weldable materials, contributing your craftsmanship to our team’s shared commitment to excellence. You’ll work both independently and collaboratively to deliver high-quality, innovative metal components and assemblies that meet rigorous standards. This role requires the ability to work varying shifts: days, afternoons, evenings, nights, and potentially overnight shifts as needed to meet production demands. Key Responsibilities: • Welding and Fabrication: • Perform a variety of welding operations with a commitment to innovation, continuously exploring ways to improve techniques and efficiencies. • Fabricate metal components and structures based on engineering specifications and blueprints, taking ownership of the quality and precision in each piece. • Blueprint and Technical Reading: • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics, applying creativity to overcome challenges and achieve optimal results. • Work with measurements and precision tools to ensure components meet required tolerances, reflecting a high level of respect for quality standards. • Quality Assurance: • Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications, identifying and correcting any defects to uphold an honorable standard of craftsmanship. • Perform testing and inspections on completed welds and fabrications, demonstrating total ownership over quality and safety. • Maintenance and Safety: • Maintain welding and fabrication tools and equipment, respecting tools and workspace to ensure safety and readiness for each task. • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment, creating a safe and respectful work environment for all team members. • Collaboration and Synergy: • Work closely with engineers, machinists, and production staff, embodying synergy by fostering a cooperative and supportive team environment. • Communicate openly and respectfully with team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize project outcomes, encouraging creativity and innovation. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Proven experience as a welder and fabricator in a manufacturing or construction environment. • Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick welding) and tools. • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. • Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset and a commitment to delivering creative, high-quality work. • Familiarity with welding safety standards and equipment maintenance. • Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in a demanding environment. • Availability for varying days and shifts as required. • Relevant welding certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Welder) are a plus.

Craftsman Welder/Fabricator

Craftsman Welder/Fabricator should be ASME test ready. Able to use both MIG and TIG welding processes to build stainless steel tanks and equipment. Able to read and understand Blueprints/Mechanical drawings. Weld should be cosmetically pleasant and able to withstand strength testing. Will need to provide own hood and hand tools. Current shift is M-F 6am-2:30pm. Benefits start after 30 days with paid life, STD and LTD coverage. Vacation accrues immediately. MUST HAVE STAINLESS EXPERIENCE OF AT LEAST 2 YEARS!! Journeyman - Welder

SUMMARY The Journeyman Welder is responsible for permanently fitting and welding of various metals to include but not limited to; steel, aluminum,and stainless steel parts using high heat application to form a permanent bond. May specialize in one of hundreds of different processes of welding to join metals together. Certification may be required depending of job specifications. ESSENTIAL DUTIES • Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures • Be proficient in MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and Stick (SMAW) as required • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements • Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements) • Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded • Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead) • Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety • Determine welding position and type of metal to be fused • Ensure welds meet standards and specifications • Supervise machines or robots that perform automated welding tasks • Operate heavy equipment and machinery in the performance of these essential duties • Work with and around hazardous materials, as well as at heights and in confined spaces in the performance of these essential duties • Drive a vehicle to various jobsites throughout working hours a. Maintain valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company policy • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner • Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for employee job performance • Perform other duties as assigned ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS • Exposure to varying indoor and outdoor conditions, loud noise, dust, toxic chemicals and materials, varying fumes or odors; slippery or uneven walking surfaces; and work in ditches/excavations • Work at heights, such as by working on ladders, scaffolds, platforms, tops of single and multi-story buildings, as well as working in confined spaces such as underneath single story and multi-story building • Must be able to perform manual and repetitive tasks and body movements including standing and/or walking for long periods of time, bending, reaching, and/or gripping frequently, climbing, pulling and pushing • Must be able to lift up to 125lbs • May lift and carry heavy objects, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in awkward positions • Must be able to complete job duties proficiently while adapting to changing demands and priorities • Must have the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and concentrate for long periods of time to perform duties in a safe manner • This position is subject to ergonomic testing SAFETY SENSITIVE This position is designated as a safety sensitive position because it includes as part of the job duties operating a motor vehicle, operating, maintaining, monitoring of heavy equipment and machinery, and working with and around hazardous materials, at heights, and in confined spaces. This position is one in which a lapse of attention could result in injury, illness, or death. For the safety of the employee and others, the employee must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and concentrate for long periods of time while operating, maintaining, and monitoring heavy equipment and machinery, and while working with and around hazardous materials, at heights, and in confined spaces.
