The welding will primarily be Flux Core and TIG. Proficiency in an out-of-position manner with a minimum of twelve procedures is required. This includes FCAW, GMAW & GTAW processes, including two specialty procedures (small diameter pipe, tube to tubesheet, subarc, overlay, stress) with good weld quality and production time. Job Duties • Read and interpret shop blueprints related to weld joints, symbols, and general layout, fit-up, or assembly operations. • Set up and operate arc-air equipment. • Understand the effect of interpass/temp/heat input related to distortion during and after welding with steels and alloys. • Perform minor maintenance related to wire feed machines and related welding equipment. • Perform layouts and basic fit-up and assembly operations. • Meet basic tool requirements for the classification.
