Responsibilities for the Aluminum Welder: • Weld aluminum parts of various thicknesses and alloys using MIG welding techniques. • Use measuring tools such as tape measures and squares to ensure accuracy. • Operate power tools including grinders, sanders, drills, and pop riveters. • Maintain a clean and safe work area through daily housekeeping. • Ensure quality standards are met for all completed work. • Work efficiently under pressure and be available for overtime as needed. • Perform duties in a warm environment, which may exceed 100°F. See More Details >>POSITION SUMMARY: The Welder-B position requires either MIG or TIG aluminum welding on anodized or mill-stock aluminum substrates. After the initial training period, welders will be required to perform their duties with a high degree of quality, inspect their work and correct any defects within the given takt time. The assembly line process requires teamwork. Each person in our process is critical for our success and is required to maintain an acceptable attendance rate. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Welds TIG or MIG. • Positions and arranges parts and components for welding. • Modifies parts for fit and function as required. • Inspects work and fix as required. • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or equivalent KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY • Basic understanding of welding machine controls, function and ability to adjust per requirements. • Ability to apply MIG or TIG weld per our standards within the required task time. • Ability to reload MIG wire as required • Ability to do rudimentary maintenance: Clean tips, change tips or cups, and identify and report abnormalities.
