Job Details Job Location Capital Quarries - MO - Jefferson City, MO Position Type Full Time Welder/Fabricator POSITION SUMMARY Capital Quarries is looking for several skilled individuals who are capable of working on machines and equipment. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Manufactures, repairs, modifies, rebuilds, and assembles various components related to our trucks and equipment • Read and interpret welding blueprints, including all standard welding symbols • Welds and performs work at a steady pace to maintain the construction schedule and meet efficiency rates • Uses required measuring instruments and gauges to check and ensure parts meet dimensional requirements • Operates all machinery and equipment according to safety requirements • Assists in training of other employees • Must maintain equipment and machinery • Maintain a clean and organized workstation • Other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS • 5 years of welding experience, required • Experience with torches, plasma cutters, and grinders, required • Must be willing to travel • Must have a valid driver's license, Class E preferred • Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time. • Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds without assistance • Experience with TIG, MIG, and Stick welding • Subject to a background check, drug screening, and a medical review exam This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position. Single Phase Seams Welder

Description Responsible for proper use and maintenance of required personal safety protective equipment and understanding proper hazardous waste material handling. Check materials/units to assure receipt and completion according to specifications. Identify and report material irregularities and equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel and/or department. Receive or determine work assignments after schedules, production authorization, logbooks, overdue reports or other appropriate information sources have been reviewed. Keep work area clean, orderly and in safe condition. Set control settings on welding equipment such as voltage, gas flow, wire speed and voltage for a variety of material variances. Check broadcast sheets and reference drawings and any associated information for parts requirements and location on units. Obtain materials as necessary. Clean welds as required either manually or with power grinder. Complete required production reports. Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and stud guns. Order materials and supplies as needed. Complete required feedback and all necessary manufacturing information documentation daily or as required. Welding is a joining process in which metals, or sometimes plastics, are heated, melted and mixed to produce a joint with properties similar to those of the materials being joined. There are three main components needed to create a weld. These are: A heat source such as an electric arc, a flame, pressure, or friction. Responsibilities: Operating a multitude of welding equipment. Working primarily on aluminum, steel, and galvanneal requiring a high grade of skill. Inspect materials or structures requiring welding. Monitoring processes while staying aware of overheating levels and safety. Requirements: Read blueprints and weld metals according to customer or employer requirements. Perform set up of machine. Perform preventative maintenance as required. Examine created welds to check for defects/flaws. Perform safety and quality checks. Work and adhere to all safety policies Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED/equivalent 1+ Years of experience in welding.
