This position is based out of our De Pere, WI facility. Sign on bonus of $4000 being offered for qualified candidates for a limited time. Position Summary: As a Custom Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for following blueprints while welding aluminum and steel. You will also be responsible for picking materials, cutting and forming to meet client specifications. As a Metal Fabricator at Jones Sign, you will manage your assigned projects from start to finish including electrical wiring of LED lighting as specified all while ensuring quality control standards are met while following safety guidelines. Essential Functions: • Weld a variety of aluminum or steel structures per blueprint requirements. • Use shears, grinder, torch, press brake, or drill press as needed per job specifications. • Reading and understanding product schematics, along with assembly instructions. • Verifying dimensions and product specifications • In addition to any other duties assigned by the leader Work Environment: • Work Conditions consist of a manufacturing plant environment with standing, bending, and twisting 90% of the day. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Safety glasses and steel tipped work boots must always be worn. • Must be able to work in a variety of work environments, such as cold and hot weather (depending on area) Physical Demands: • Must be able to stoop, crawl, walk, and stand for long periods at a time.
