Position Summary: Temp-Pro is seeking a skilled TIG Welder with experience in welding small and large metal components, including stainless steel and specialty alloys. The ideal candidate will also assist with light mechanical assembly related to sensor and enclosure fabrication. This is a hands-on role requiring precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to quality. Key Responsibilities: Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and other specialty materials per blueprint and technical drawings. Weld small and large components, from intricate sensor parts to heavy-duty thermowell and enclosure assemblies. Operate welding equipment and related fabrication tools with a high level of proficiency and safety awareness. Inspect completed welds to ensure conformance to specifications using visual and measuring tools. Perform light mechanical assembly work as needed, including fitting, fastening, and preparing components for final build and also additional duties outside of welding. Interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, and manufacturing documentation accurately. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards. Follow ISO 9001:2015 quality procedures and document production activities as required. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required; vocational training or certification in welding preferred. 3+ years TIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Proficiency in welding thin-gauge and heavy-gauge metals, including stainless steel and exotic alloys. Experience working with jigs, fixtures, and assembly drawings. Basic mechanical assembly skills and familiarity with hand tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Preferred Experience: Previous work in a precision manufacturing environment such as instrumentation, aerospace, or industrial equipment. Familiarity with ASME standards for welded components. Basic knowledge of electromechanical assemblies is a plus. Experience and Key Attributes: • Prior experience in a fabrication/welding role within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Extensive installation activities can be considered equivalent. • Recognised qualifications in Fabrication, Welding, or a related discipline (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent). • Proven experience in welding and fabricating components for process equipment and infrastructure, including compliance with international standards. • Experience using modern tools and techniques for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials. • Fluent in English, both verbal and written. • Full UK Working Rights.
