LEX PRODUCTS LEX PRODUCTSINTERNAL JOB POSTINGJob Title: Jr. Welder Department:Sheet Metal 11 Forest Parkway Lex EastPosting Date:4/8/2025 Posting Expiry Date: 4/11/2025Please contact:Human Resources to applySummary:The primary role for this Junior Welder is to work with the welder to competently perform MIG and TIG welding tasks.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Properly performing MIG TIG and other welding activities. • Training and assisting of the Welder. • Reading blueprints shop drawings and other production documents. • Operate other shop equipment to meet department and customer demand. • Follows and adheres to all company and departmental procedures and policies. • Use good judgment in performing tasks correctly the first time through. • Provide input to help improve the performance of the department. • Perform tasks while complying with company safety policies. • Maintain a safe and clean work environment (may require sweeping mopping trash removal) • Promptly report to the supervisor all observations that are relevant to ensure a safe and efficient operation in the department. • Communicate with managers peers and subordinates on a routine basis. • Timely and accurately completes documentation. • Work overtime when needed. • Perform other duties as required. Most if not all the work will be in assistance of the Sheet Metal Department. Knowledge Skills Abilities and Requirements:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required but do not constitute the complete list of everything that may help one be successful in this role. • High School Diploma • Proficiency in both MIG and TIG welding. • Ability to read blueprints schematics and other manufacturing information. • Knowledge of production machinery operations. • Mechanically inclined. • Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time. • Ability to work in metric and English units of measure • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted throughout the day.
