Pay Range: $28-35/Hour Background Check, No Drug Test Key Responsibilities • Builds and modifies fixtures and tooling for new welding projects. • Reads and interprets blueprints, weld symbols, machining specs, and datums for fixture creation. • Collaborates with manufacturing, QC, and engineering to resolve welding or design issues. • Maintains a professional, clean, and safe work environment by following company policies and safety standards. • Promotes teamwork and strong working relationships across all departments. • Follows the GSM Code of Ethics and complies with all relevant laws and regulations. Qualifications & Skills • Understands workmanship standards and can pass related tests with some training. • Able to read weld symbols and dimensions; may require help with GD&T and datums.Working knowledge of military, AWS, and other weld codes; may seek guidance for complex specs. • Capable of using existing setups to fixture weldments and operate manual equipment like mills, saws, and cranes with minimal support.Familiar with basic manufacturing and weldment correction techniques; problem-solving support may be needed. • Basic understanding of NDT processes; Level II required for deeper interpretation • Proficient in GTAW, GMAW, and SMAW welding methods and able to pass qualification tests with limited assistance.
