Job Summary We are seeking a skilled licensed Pipefitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pipefitting, welding, and mechanical systems. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems in various settings, including commercial and industrial environments. The Pipefitter will work closely with other tradespeople to ensure that all installations meet safety standards and specifications. We specialize in many different trades from plumbing, pipe fitting, electrical, sprinkler fitting, stainless and carbon steel welding, orbital welding. Responsibilities • Install, repair, and maintain piping systems for water, gas, steam, and other fluids. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation procedures. • Utilize various welding techniques including MIG, FCAW, TIG, and stick welding as required. • Perform minor plumbing tasks. • Must be willing to perform plumbing sprinkler fitting and other task • Conduct pipe threading, tube bending, soldering, and assembly tasks as needed. • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. • Carry out maintenance tasks on existing piping systems to ensure optimal performance. • Collaborate with construction teams on-site to coordinate installation schedules and project timelines. • Adhere to ASME codes & standards during all installations and repairs. • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols. Skills • Proficient in MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, stick welding, and soldering techniques. • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. • Experience reading blueprints and schematics for accurate installation planning. • Familiarity with HVAC systems and fire sprinkler fitting is preferred. • Knowledge of pipe threading techniques and tube bending processes. • Ability to use calipers for precise measurements in pipe fitting tasks. • Experience in rigging for safe lifting of heavy materials or equipment. • Background in construction or manufacturing environments is advantageous. • Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and material requirements. • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Complete necessary maintenance check sheets and inform Supervisor and / or Maintenance personnel of any problems • Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary. • Adheres to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions including the use of ventilation equipment during welding operation and the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE). • Assist team in achieving plant and department goals by flexing when needed. • Assist with on-the-job training and continuous improvement. • Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork. • General knowledge of Eaton Quality Management System (EQMS). Qualifications: Basic (Required): • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school. • Six (6) months of prior welding experience or a technical diploma or certification in welding from an accredited institution • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. • Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographic area (50-mile radius) will be considered. Preferred: • 1-3 years’ weld experience in industrial manufacturing environment. • Knowledge of basic shop math and welding symbols. • Ability to read and understand formal, informal drawings, and/or engineering drawings. Skills: • Ability to read written instructions and comprehend verbal instructions. • Ability to read and follow standard work. • Ability to use good judgment and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions. • Basic computer knowledge of Windows based operating systems and programs. • Ability to use measuring tape, and variable gauges, such as calipers. • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. • Ability to use a crane once fully trained to lift items • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
