Job Description Summary: A certified Welder in the solar industry is responsible for performing welding operations to assemble and fabricate solar panels, structures, and components. They work with various materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel to ensure the proper construction and installation of solar systems. Job Description: • This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned Position Responsibilities and Duties: • Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements. • Setting up and operating welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding machines. • Preparing materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and shaping them as needed. • Welding components together using the appropriate welding techniques and methods. • Inspecting welded joints and structures to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. • Repairing and modifying existing solar panels and structures as necessary. • Collaborating with engineers and other team members to resolve welding-related issues and improve processes. • Following safety procedures and wearing protective equipment to prevent accidents and injuries. • Maintaining welding equipment and tools in good working condition. • Keeping accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
