General Summary A Rig Welder operates welding equipment to fuse metals using various cutting and welding processes on pipelines, rigs, plants and facilities. Essential Job Functions 1. Regular and reliable attendance. 2. Prepared and on time for scheduled shift with proper PPE. 3. Responsible for Daily Shift validations. 4. Participate in developing the Detailed Daily Work Plan (DDWP) on job sites. 10. Participate in safe work and behavioral safety audits. 11. Perform monthly tool audit and ensure compliance of equipment (vehicle registration/ fire extinguisher). 12. Weld pipe and structural steel out of position to the quality standard specified. 13. Be aware of the dangers associated with hazardous atmospheres and hazards associated with using tools and equipment. 14. Pass radiographic examination or other ND inspection methods as required in the Construction Code. 15. Test the job site for immediate respiratory dangers and know how to read a monitor. 16. Perform tasks assigned by Crew Lead or Foreman. 17. Be actively involved in Behavioral Safety Process. 18. Develop knowledge of KSI PPM-SOPs and refer to the SOP Manual prior to each task. 19. Follow all KS Industries, LLC safety, and customer policies and procedures. 20. Shall perform all physical and mental requirements listed. Working Conditions: The locations vary from site to site. Work is physically demanding and requires the ability to concentrate well on the job at hand, in all types of weather. Majority of the work is construction-based work. Walking and working surface vary depending on the terrain, from flat to extreme slopes and frozen, wet, snowy and slippery conditions. Working Hours: Normally, a full-time employee will work 40 hours per week, depending on the factors such as weather and schedules. Work schedules and hours may vary depending on specific client locations and projects. In general, applicable work schedules include 5-8’s and 4-10’s.
