Basic Function HF Sinclair located in Artesia, NM is seeking a #1 Welder. (The Company reserves the right to hire a #2 in the event that a #1 is not available) The schedule is Monday thru Friday. Overtime as well as weekend on-call rotation is required. Experience Candidates must demonstrate a working knowledge of welding skills and must satisfactorily complete certification on the following procedures: Carbon Steel SMAW (manual stick rod), Low Alloy GTAW (heli-arc), Stainless Steel GTAW (heli-arc). Test results will be based on 100% radiography to B31.3 Severe. Education Level High School diploma or G.E.D equivalent. Must complete a comprehensive written pre-employment examination. A comprehensive physical examination must be satisfactorily completed. A DRUG SCREEN IS PART OF THE PHYSICAL. Required Skills Welder must be knowledgeable in piping layout, fabrication, and use of plasma and air arc cutting machines. Other duties required will be pipefitting, and in general any duties required to support and contribute to an efficient maintenance organization.
