EXPERIENCED WELDER/FABRICATOR

WORK 4 DAYS... GET PAID FOR 5 DAYS!!! Work 4 days, eight hours per day (32 hrs./week) -BUT- Get PAID for 5 days (40 hrs./week) Normal work schedule is Monday - Thursday, 8am to 5pm with one hour lunch break, GET FRIDAY OFF WITH PAY. Candidates must pass a pre-employment entry MIG Welding Test. Once employed, employee must pass a MIG Welding Test to be a Certified Welder, within an allotted timeframe. Must have the experience to independently perform: MIG Welding (solid wire) / Manufacture/Fabricate from Blueprints, with Little to No Assistance / Understand and Follow Industry Standard Welding Symbols / General Housekeeping of Work Area. Candidates must have their own personal tools of the trade. Large specialty tools are provided by the company. Due to the reduced four day work week, candidates must be very dependable, not miss work, have strong work ethic, be a self-starter and work independently with limited supervision. The candidates must be detail oriented, as accuracy and attention to small detail is a must. JOB TITLE: Welder DEPARTMENT: Production REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor CLASSIFICATION: Hourly Purpose and Scope At Sage Oil Vac, Inc. our Welders play a vital role in the fabrication of high-quality fluid handling equipment by using welding techniques to join metal components, ensuring the reliability and durability of our products. Key Responsibilities • * Perform welding tasks, including MIG and other applicable welding processes, to join various metal components, following technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications. • Participate in the fabrication and assembly of components used in Sage Oil Vac equipment, such as tanks, frames, brackets, and other metal structures. • Maintain the highest standards of welding quality, inspecting completed work for accuracy and structural integrity to meet company and industry standards. • Safely handle and store welding materials, gases, and equipment while adhering to safety guidelines. • Ensure welding equipment is properly maintained and promptly report any equipment issues or repair needs. • Strictly adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and colleagues. • Work collaboratively with other members of the fabrication and manufacturing team to achieve project goals and deadlines. • Utilize problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues related to welding or component assembly and find practical solutions. • Maintain records of welding activities, including materials used, welding parameters, and any modification made to the standard procedures. • Responsible for keeping the welding area clean and in order. • Assist other team members if necessary. • Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, etc. • Other duties as assigned.
