Welder/Fabricator

GENERAL SUMMARY · EnQuest Energy Solutions LLC is seeking a motivated and experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our team. This position is responsible for following established procedures for product assembly, fabrication, welding, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Fit, pre-heat, post-weld heat treat, and weld parts and assemblies. • Ensure all welding operations meet customer requirements, industry regulations, and company quality standards. • Maintain workflow in the weld shop while adhering to production schedules. • Keep managers informed of key developments in manufacturing and welding operations. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. • Perform welding in flat and vertical positions. • Select, set up, and operate welding equipment. • Verify dimensions using micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring instruments. • Estimate material requirements and maintain stock levels. • Prepare surfaces for welding by removing rust, scale, slag, moisture, grease, and other contaminants. • Collaborate with other departments to enhance operational efficiency. • Use track torches and hand torches for material cutting. • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies. • Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS • Ability to weld to AWS D1.1, B31.3, or other relevant procedures. • Proficiency in FCAW and GMAW on stainless and carbon steel (GTAW and SMAW preferred). • Ability to pass X-ray, UT, or bend tests. • Experience in cutting and gouging metals. • Skilled in welding pipe, structural steel, fittings, and flanges. • Strong ability to read blueprints, welding specifications, work orders, and reports. • Self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks independently. • Strong attention to detail, organization, and multi-tasking skills. • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. • Valid certification to operate a forklift and overhead crane. WORKING CONDITIONS • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and adverse weather conditions. • Occasionally working at heights and around fumes or airborne particles. • Loud work environment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. • Regular lifting/moving of up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting/moving of up to 50 lbs using proper techniques.
