Job Title: Welder Location: Kearney, NE Pay: $22.50/hour or more, depending on experience Shift: Monday Thursday, 6: 00 AM 4: 45 PM | Overtime on Fridays as needed Job Description: We are looking for a skilled Welder to join our client's team in Kearney, NE! In this role, you will set up and perform welding processes on production parts or assemblies according to blueprints and drawings. The position involves MIG, TIG or arc welding on galvanized or mild steel and may include cutting steel with plasma or acetylene torches. Accuracy, safety and teamwork are essential in this role. Key Responsibilities: • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and engineering drawings to determine fabrication requirements. • Fabricate and weld metal components using various welding techniques and tools. • Perform pipe threading and installation according to codes and standards. • Operate machining equipment to shape and finish metal parts. • Assemble and build structures, equipment and machinery. • Safely use forklifts and other material handling equipment to move parts and finished products. • Operate press brake machines to bend and shape metal sheets. • Install ductwork for HVAC systems as needed. • Maintain accurate time and quantity records for production work orders. • Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times. • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a welder or fabricator. • Proficient in MIG, TIG and ARC welding techniques. • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication processes. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and engineering drawings. • Familiarity with welding and fabrication codes and standards. • Experience operating machining equipment is a plus. • Skilled with hand tools, power tools and measuring instruments. • Strong attention to detail and precision. • Good physical stamina;able to lift heavy objects. • Forklift certification is a plus.
