Essential Duties And Responsibilities In the role of a Welder, you will: • Use templates, jigs, blueprints and/or other guides to repair, modify and/or fabricate repairs. • Operate hand tools to cut, drill, bore, tap, ream, shape, and grind • Ensure work is accomplished safely and care is exercised to avoid damage to tools and/or equipment. • Manage metals to prevent distortion or metal burns, to meet dimensions, tolerances, strengths, and/or other requirements. • Perform exceptionally high degree of skill so that welds pass very high standards of radiographic, ultrasound, magnetic particle imaging, and other testing procedures as deemed necessary by engineers • Set-up, troubleshoot and operate welding machines according to job specifications and welding procedures • Preheat and weld metal components as specified by blueprints, welding symbols, job specifications, or welding procedures. • Operate air arc gouger, grinder, stress relieving machine, and other industry machines, tools, and equipment • Make welding repairs and substandard welds • Other duties as assigned Qualifications/Requirements • High School Diploma / GED from accredited school or institution • Minimum 3 year of welding experience (MIG, TIG, Stick techniques) in a manufacturing environment customer-focused in defining quality and establishing priorities Eligibility Requirements • Lift up to 45 lbs. on a regular basis • Work in a manufacturing environment where noise, dust are present • Use safety glasses, safety shoes, and ear plugs • Perform sedentary work with frequent pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending, and other physical activities • Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload • Ability and willingness to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure Desired Characteristics • Strong oral and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills • Experience operating a forklift, hand truck, and other equipment specific to duties. • Self-Motivated • Ability to work with minimal supervision Cooper Machinery Services is an equal opportunity employer and gives all qualified applicants consideration of employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.

Position Summary: $21 per hour and 2nd shift differential $2 The Welder is responsible for welding of fabricated parts to print and specifications. Prepare steel, cast iron, aluminum and stainless-steel material and parts for weld. Work You’ll Do: • Produce and maintain consistent quality of work, dress, and grind parts after welding. • Demonstrate flexibility when confronted with high stress, emergency situation, priority changes, or new assignments. • Prepare steel parts for arc, gas or mig welding. Weld materials of limited thickness where finished weld is not stressed. • Work safely and in an environmentally responsible manner, practice good communications. Recommend improvements for area products and processes. • Interact professionally with customers in the plant, job report correctly and in a timely manner. Team: In this position you will be a valued addition to our Fabrication and Paint Dept where you will support welding of fabricated parts for the plant. Basic Qualifications: • Welding test is required • High school education or relevant technical school training. • 1 year minimum • Must be at least 18 years of age Preferred Qualifications: • 5 years’ experience welding and fabricating steel parts and structures. • Blueprint reading experience • Precision measuring tool experience Certificate of completion from technical school or welding certification

As a MIG Welder, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring high-quality welds and contributing to the overall success of our projects. Duties • Perform MIG welding on various materials, including sheet metal and pipe threading. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to complete projects. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and ASME codes & standards to ensure accurate assembly. • Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials as needed. • Conduct quality checks using calipers and micrometers to ensure precision in welds. • Engage in TIG welding, stick welding, and FCAW as required by specific projects. • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. • Collaborate with team members on construction site tasks, including ductwork installation and rigging. Experience • Proven experience in MIG welding is essential; additional experience in TIG welding, stick welding, or FCAW is a plus. • Familiarity with construction site environments and manufacturing processes. • Proficient in using various tools such as plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and machining tools. • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks. • Experience with assembly processes is beneficial.
