Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and versatile Welder / Production Operator to join our HVAC manufacturing team. The primary responsibility will be MIG welding of HVAC components and assemblies. The role also includes occasional duties in production operations and assembly line work to support overall manufacturing efficiency. Key Responsibilities:Welding (Primary Duties): - Perform MIG welding on HVAC components. - Interpret blueprints and technical drawings specific to HVAC systems. - Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently. - Inspect welds for quality and conformance to HVAC manufacturing standards. - Maintain welding tools and equipment in good working condition. Production & Assembly Support (Secondary Duties): - Operate machinery and equipment used in HVAC component production. - Assist with assembly line tasks including fitting, fastening, and packaging of HVAC units. - Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols. - Perform quality checks and report any defects or inconsistencies. Qualifications - 1+ year of MIG welding experience, preferably in HVAC or metal fabrication. - Ability to read and interpret HVAC-specific technical drawings. - Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with production environments. - Flexibility to work in different roles and adapt to changing priorities. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. - Standing, bending, and working in various positions for extended periods. - Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Preferred Skills: - Certification in welding (e.g., AWS) is a plus. - Experience in HVAC manufacturing or assembly. - Forklift certification is a bonus.
