Summary The Service Technician 2 is responsible for providing excellent customer service through servicing and repairing trailers and installing truck beds, snowplows, towing systems, and other related products. Essential Duties And Responsibilities • Perform service, repair, and accessory installation on new and used trailers, truck beds, trailer tow vehicles and snowplows. • Partner with supervisor to maintain Service Schedule. • Examine, test, adjust, and repair bearings, lights, wiring, and brake assemblies of trailers and tow vehicles. • Replace and repair worn and defective parts. Lay out drills, screws, rivets, and welds to repair, replace and/or install parts / accessories on trailers, truck beds, tow vehicles, snowplows, accessories and Installs wood or metal flooring. • Perform multi-point inspections to assess customer service and parts needs. • Confer in person and by phone with customers, write and read work orders. List parts needed, estimate costs, and plan work procedures, using parts lists, technical manuals, diagrams and must have the ability to quote service work. • Sell parts and service. • Help customers hook up a trailer. Perform visual safety inspection (lights, safety chain, decking, etc.) • Perform warranty service and completes required documentation. • Complete service paperwork or computer system entry completely and timely. • Maintain service parts log and submit to management as required. • Assist in the maintenance of parts inventory for store including purchasing of parts and supplies, receiving PO’s, and Cycle Counts. • Assemble trailers. • Park and move Trailers. Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) • Proven ability to weld (MIG and oxy-acetylene) • Valid Driver’s License • Associates Degree, Trade School Diploma preferred • 2-3 years applicable work experience preferred • Must be available to work Monday – Saturday and overtime as needed

Must have high level knowledge of pumps, material handling equipment and all related major systems in order to trouble shoot or anticipate system problems Position will be based in Beaumont, TX but travel the local area. Requirements • Installs, maintains and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing and electrical systems following specifications, blue prints and manuals • Performs daily inspection of machinery and equipment at the plant • Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to diagnose cause of malfunctions • Communicates timely and effectively with Plant Coordinator and Production Supervisor to keep them informed about major problems. • Performs data entry on all services performed • May operate mobile equipment • Performs daily preventative maintenance, record and inspection on service vehicle to include fueling, cleaning, tire/light inspection, checking and adding fluids as needed • Services pumps/motors as needed • Repairs/replaces wear items as required • Perform welding, repair and fabrication • Maintains parts inventory • May make service calls at other plants as needed • Demonstrate good knowledge of lock out/tag out procedure required during certain procedures • Communicates/directs co-workers through hand signals and two-way radio • Assists in training of co-workers as needed • Performs general clean-up of work area • Required to follow all safety policies and procedures • Perform other duties as required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • 5-7 years of plant maintenance and welding • Ready-Mix concrete plant experience is a plus, but not required • Electrical experience including 110/220/480 volt services including motors, fans, and blowers • Certified welder is a plus, but not required • Metal fabrication • General maintenance knowledge including but not limited to: • Pipefitting/Plumbing • Gear boxes and augers • Pneumatic systems including air compressors, cylinders, solenoids and valves • Belt tensioning and tracking • Must be able to read blue prints and mechanical diagrams • Industrial mechanical work preferred. • Read, write and communicate in English • People leadership skills and ability to follow direction and lead by example • Ability to teach • Ability to perform well in a “TEAM” environment • Self-motivator • CDL license with heavy haul truck experience is a plus but not required.
