Job DescriptionAs a Stick Welder with PeopleReady Skilled Trades you will assist in welding structural components, pipe, and/or steel elements in accordance with blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.Note: The hourly rate for this position is $24 - $26 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Learn more at https://skilled.peopleready.com/referral/ .Responsibilities: Perform SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) to join structural steel or pipe Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols Operate welding and cutting equipment safely and effectively Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and code compliance Work at heights, in confined spaces, or varying weather conditions as required Maintain a clean and safe job site Collaborate with foremen, fitters, and other crew members Qualifications: Proven experience as a Stick Welder (preferably on construction or industrial sites) Proficient in 6010 and 7018 rods Familiarity with construction site safety procedures Must have own PPE and basic hand tools Current welding certifications -AWS, ASME OSHA 10/30 certification preferred TrueBlue, Inc. and its brands welcome and encourage applications from candidates with disabilities.
