Job Title: Welder Job Description This role is a MIG welding role. You will be responsible for setting up all material for the weld, following a blueprint or work instructions to complete the weld, and welding everything together. You will be welding on material up to 1/2 inch thick, including flat, vertical, and horizontal positions. Responsibilities include performing multi-pass welds (up to 3 times) primarily on steel material and executing a lot of tack welds. Initial tasks will include tack welding until fully trained in all processes. As you demonstrate more skill, you will handle more complex welds. As a Weld Engineer at our growing La Porte facility, this position will be responsible for improvements and control of weld repair/fabrication of super alloy castings as well as ensuring all welds meet Class "A" requirements.
