Industrial Tank and Containment, Inc. (ITC) has a shop and staging area located in Clintonville, PA. ITC does new construction, repair and maintenance, and containment work of above ground industrial storage tanks. These positions do require travel, generally leaving on Monday and returning on Friday. This is generally during the spring through fall, with more local work being completed in the winter months (when local work is done, employees are home at night). Company vehicles are provided, motels are paid for, and a nightly per diem is paid. Duties include: • Perform quality welds in an efficient manner. • Connects to leads from welding unit and adjusts amperage and voltage. • Performs different styles of welding - vertical, horizontal, flat and overhead welding. • Performs quality welds while in different physical positions as required by the job - ie kneeling, laying down, etc. • Performs clamping, tack welding, fit-up, heat bending, bolting or other necessary functions to keep warpage at a minimum. • Performs work at elevated heights as necessary (ie ladders, scaffolds, etc.) • Cleans up weld splatter and grinds as necessary. • Works in safe manner and cleans up work area. • Operates shop tools in a safe manner - ie grinders, portaband saws, chop saws, band saws, punch press, drills, etc. • Education and skill in the standard practices, methods, tools and materials of the welding trade. Must have skill in mig welding; skill in stick welding preferred. Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the welding trade. Math skills, ability to read tape measures, ability to assemble with squares and levels, ability to follow oral and written instructions and to work from simple sketches and diagrams required. Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts, telehandlers, skidsteers, and manlifts preferred.
