About the Role: As a Pipe Welder, you will play a crucial role in the shipbuilding & repair industry by ensuring the integrity and quality of welded pipe systems. You will work alongside a Pipe Fitter to weld pipe joints and make repairs on steel pipe of varying sizes and follow a variety of welding procedures. Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Pass a 6G E6010 open root and E7018 fill and cap test on 2" and 6" sch 40 pipe. • At least 1-2 years of experience in shipyard work or industrial work. • At least 1-2 years of experience as a pipe welder. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. • Ability to read and understand piping drawings and schematics. • Strong understanding of safety protocols and practices in welding. • Ability to follow directions, work with others, and work in less-then-ideal conditions (cold, heights, small spaces.)
