Job Title: Welder Job Description We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the production team in ensuring excellence in manufacturing, quality, and production operations, with a primary focus on safety. The pay range for this position is $20-28/hr. Responsibilities • Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications. • Determine required equipment, welding method, and welding techniques. • Develop templates and other work aids to hold and align parts. • Ignite torch and adjust valves, amperage, or voltage to obtain desired flame or arc. • Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies. • Heat, form, and dress metal parts using hand tools, torch, or arc welding equipment. • Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. • Remove rough spots from workpiece using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper. • Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances using micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instruments. • Perform structural welding, including Complete Joint Penetration Weld (CJP) and multiple weld styles. • Work with materials such as structural steel, aluminum, mild steel, and carbon steel. • Conduct flux core welding and MIG welding. • Read and interpret blueprints.
