Metal Fabricator/Assembler

Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for laying out, fitting, and welding fabricated components to assemble structural forms, machinery frames, and other metal products. This role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques, blueprint reading, and safety procedures. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with metal materials, interpreting blueprints and drawings, and maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities: • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements. • Fitting and assembling metal parts using hand tools and welding equipment. • Performing MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on a variety of materials, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. • Verifying the alignment and dimensions of parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, rulers, and levels. • Grinding, sanding, or cleaning welds as required for quality and appearance. • Inspecting finished products for quality, completeness, and conformance to specifications. • Maintaining a clean and safe work area in accordance with company and OSHA standards. • Reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety issues to supervision promptly. Qualifications: • A high school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in welding is preferred. • Proven experience as a fitter/welder or similar role. • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. • Proficient in various welding techniques and metal fabrication tools. • Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in a welding/fabrication environment. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
