This position is located in Apple Grove, West Virginia! Excellent long term opportunity for experienced Stick Welders! 1-2 year construction project in Apple Grove, West Virginia. 7:30am-6:00pm, Monday-Saturday, $30 and $100 day/per diem. Need to pass hair follicle test, be comfortable working from heights. Will have to travel to either Ohio or W. Virginia for weld test. • Stick welding • Heavy structure steel, ductwork, supports, guides and hangers (no pipe work). Experince working on mills preferred. • Must be comfortable working from 300+ feet. Will be working out of man lifts. • Bolt, clamp and tack weld parts to secure in postion for welding. • Physical demands- must be able to lift in excess of 100 pounds frequently on the job and climb in excess of 300 feeet. Must be able to pull own weight when climbing steel bracing or ladders. Tri-Arc is seeking aluminum and steel welders for 1st shift (6:00 am to 2:30 pm) and 2nd shift (2:30 pm to 11:00 pm - additional $0.60 per hour) for our plant located in Blawnox, PA. Tri-Arc offers a competitive starting rate of $23.08 (1st shift) and $23.68 (2nd Shift), plus an additional $1.00/hour when welding aluminum material (additional testing is required). Tri-Arc also offers a generous benefit package, and the right candidate(s) will have the opportunity to join the United Steelworkers Union after completing 520 probationary hours. Job Description • Set up and operate MIG welding machines to fabricate metal products or assemblies. • Assemble, align, and clamp workpieces into welding fixtures. • Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together. • Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding. • Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. • Sets up equipment and welds parts, using MIG welding equipment. • Operates various punch presses, drill presses, shears, saws, and tube bending equipment. • Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
