Tri-Arc offers a competitive starting rate of $24.33 (1st shift) and $24.93 (2nd Shift), plus an additional $1.00/hour when welding aluminum material (additional testing is required). Job Description • Set up and operate MIG welding machines to fabricate metal products or assemblies. • Assemble, align, and clamp workpieces into welding fixtures. • Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together. • Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding. • Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. • Sets up equipment and welds parts, using MIG welding equipment. • Operates various punch presses, drill presses, shears, saws, and tube bending equipment. • Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts. The Fitter Welder LAV completes daily fitter log to document work. The Fitter Welder LAV back checks other fitters work to ensure accuracy and drawing compliance prior to finishing welding. The Fitter Welder LAV inspects own work to ensure compliance to drawings and welding procedures and makes necessary repairs. The Fitter Welder LAV assists with incoming parts of inspection and final product inspection and completes appropriate documentation. The Fitter Welder LAV operates Fork trucks, jib cranes and overhead cranes and assists in other areas of the plant as assigned. The Fitter Welder LAV may travel to customer or vendor sites to investigate and solve product quality related issues. The Fitter Welder LAV performs layout, fitting, welding and fabrication and provides direction to welders on the sequence of welding required on jobs. The Fitter Welder LAV marks-up drawings while item is being fabricated to reflect changes made during the manufacturing process. The Fitter Welder LAV works closely with Group Leaders and the Production Supervisor to help establish and maintain project fabrication hourly budgets.
