General Job Description: Welder - Experienced $2,500 Sign-on Bonus (Payable after 90 days of Employment) Status: Hourly Reports To: Production Supervisor Primary Responsibility: The candidate will require a minimum of 5 years experience welding mild and structural steel using gas metal arc welding (GMAW/ MIG), mig welding, tig welding, brazing and flux core arc welding (FCAW) welding methods. Candidate will need to have experience welding on Steel, cast iron, stainless, aluminum and copper. The ability to weld in multiple positions such as flat, horizontal, and vertical are a must. Candidate must be skilled in welding fillet and butt weld joints and able to read/ interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions. Passing a weld test will be required for employment. Responsibilities and Duties: • Proficient use of basic hand tools such as grinder, cut-off wheel, and magnetic drill. • Ability to accurately read and interpret a tape measure (test will be required) • Experience in layout, measuring, and fitting metal components. • Must be able to read and interpret manufacturing blueprints and weld symbols. • Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions. • Overhead Crane experience • Ability to lift and maneuver metal components a minimum of 50 lbs.
