The Fabricator/Welder will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, ensuring that all work complies with relevant codes and standards. JOB DESCRIPTION: • Safely set-up and operate department equipment. • Perform required hand and machine operations to build, polish, and pack all diameters of Stainless Steel Air Cleaners. • Perform leak test duties • Interpret drawings and plan in proper sequence. • Set-up and operate different types of presses, an Accrotech roller, spot welder, TIG welder, polishing buff machines, vibratory polishing machines, various wrappers, and other necessary hand tools to form, fabricate, and prepare parts for processing. • Use care in all operations to prepare parts as per drawings and specifications. • Use jigs, fixtures, positioners, clamps, etc. and align and set up work. • Maintain a high level of quality in fabrication and assembly. • Detect unusual conditions or defective material and report to supervisor. • Perform light/preventative maintenance on department equipment. • Monitor inventory levels and advise supervisor or materials group of low stock conditions. • Understand and perform related-duties for all jobs in the department. • Assist with ensuring work area is kept in a clean and orderly condition and report any unusual conditions to leadership. Perform 6S duties in assigned area(s). • Perform other job-related duties as required or specified by leadership.
