The successful candidate will be skilled in various welding techniques and ensure high-quality workmanship in all tasks. Essential Functions: • Perform welding and fabrication of aluminum and stainless-steel components. • Utilize various welding techniques including TIG, MIG, ARC, and OXY fuel welding. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. • Inspect and test welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. • Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition. • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient workflow. • Troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues as they arise. Required Qualifications: • Proven experience as a welder, preferably in a boat production or similar environment. • Proficiency in TIG, MIG, ARC, and OXY fuel welding techniques. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • Physical stamina and ability to work in various positions and environments. Preferred Qualifications: • Certification in welding or a related field. • Experience with automated welding equipment. • Knowledge of welding safety standards and practices. Working Conditions: Maintain cleanliness, ensure safety compliance to include PPE adherence, safety policy adherence, and safe behaviors and conditions. Must possess the desire and ambition to always work safely and report all hazards to their supervisor immediately. Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated, including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc. The pay range for this position is $25.15 to $27.60, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
