This position is essential for the safe and efficient operation of welding equipment, ensuring that all products meet the required specifications. The Welder will be responsible for adjusting, setting, and measuring for the proper length or dimensions of the desired product, which is critical to maintaining the quality and integrity of our steel products. The role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques and the ability to work with various materials, primarily steel. The working conditions for this position involve physical demands, including the ability to lift and carry objects weighing between 75-100 pounds. The Welder will often need to stoop, kneel, or crouch in awkward positions, and standing or walking will comprise 90-95% of the workday. Position Summary: The welding technician will read blueprints and schematics to plan layouts and procedures used to determine the program to load into the machine. This role will perform start-up inspections of the machine and will adjust accessories and programs according to different requirements while ensuring all produced parts meet quality specifications.
