Electro-Mechanical, LLC is seeking a Welder based at our facility in Bristol, Virginia. The Welder is responsible for executing precision welding and material preparation tasks in support of manufacturing operations. This role demands technical proficiency, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards to ensure timely and accurate production aligned with customer requirements. How You will Make an Impact: • Comprehend and follow shop procedures, standard practice instructions, prints, diagrams and other written and verbal instructions. • Manipulate apparatus and components to required workstations, equipment, stations and positions. • Identification and selection of appropriate materials, equipment and methods as per instructions, industry standards, and production schedules. • Material must be set up, tacked in place, squared and welded using work instructions, machinery, and measuring devices. • Material must be notched, trimmed, or be copied to fit using hand tools such as grinders, routers, oxy fuel cutting torches, and plasma cutting devices. • Material must be beveled where required using grinders or cutting devices. • Rough grinding must be done where burns are made or where welding leaves a large knot. • All of the operations require accurate measurement and counting to conform to specifications and must be performed efficiently and at a progress rate sufficient to meet customer demands and expectations • Comprehend and observe all safety and quality standards and participate in Kaizen and Area Focus Teams. • Using manual tools, occasional solvents, and cleaning supplies to maintain a clean and orderly work area. • To maintain regular and timely attendance, to work efficiently, and to work overtime when required, all sufficiently to support the continuous manufacturing process • Work closely with, and get along with, co-workers. What You Bring: • High school or GED equivalent with a relevant Tech school or appropriate combination of education, training, skills, and experience. • The Human Resource Administrator can determine whether education and training are equivalent based on the associate's experience.
