Electro-Mechanical, LLC is seeking a Welder based at our facility in Bristol, Virginia. The Welder is responsible for executing precision welding and material preparation tasks in support of manufacturing operations. This role demands technical proficiency, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards to ensure timely and accurate production aligned with customer requirements. How You will Make an Impact:​ • Comprehend and follow shop procedures, standard practice instructions, prints, diagrams and other written and verbal instructions. • Manipulate apparatus and components to required workstations, equipment, stations and positions. • Identification and selection of appropriate materials, equipment and methods as per instructions, industry standards, and production schedules. • Material must be set up, tacked in place, squared and welded using work instructions, machinery, and measuring devices. • Material must be notched, trimmed, or be copied to fit using hand tools such as grinders, routers, oxy fuel cutting torches, and plasma cutting devices. • Material must be beveled where required using grinders or cutting devices. • Rough grinding must be done where burns are made or where welding leaves a large knot. • All of the operations require accurate measurement and counting to conform to specifications and must be performed efficiently and at a progress rate sufficient to meet customer demands and expectations • Comprehend and observe all safety and quality standards and participate in Kaizen and Area Focus Teams. • Using manual tools, occasional solvents, and cleaning supplies to maintain a clean and orderly work area. • To maintain regular and timely attendance, to work efficiently, and to work overtime when required, all sufficiently to support the continuous manufacturing process • Work closely with, and get along with, co-workers.​ What You Bring: • High school or GED equivalent with a relevant Tech school or appropriate combination of education, training, skills, and experience. • The Human Resource Administrator can determine whether education and training are equivalent based on the associate's experience. The position is based in Bristol (United Kingdom), working from the CTR office during the Execution phase, with periodic visits to Singapore and Batam. What will your missions and responsibilities be? Based in Bristol with periodic missions to Singapore/Batam, the role supports the SPS Technical Lead on all welding and materials topics, ensuring technical compliance, fabrication quality, and full HSE adherence across the SPS scope. Missions • Ensure technical consistency, quality, and compliance of welding and materials activities • Manage all welding/material issues and align with project standards and HSE requirements • Collaborate with site representatives and third-party inspectors on design and fabrication reviews • Lead by example in safety, conduct risk assessments, and ensure team HSE competency Requirements What profile and skills are required for this “Materials & Welding Engineering Specialist (M/F)” role? Technical Requirements The role requires strong expertise in welding and materials for subsea fabrication, ensuring compliance with standards, quality, and installation requirements: • Develop, review, and approve WPS/PQR; expertise in GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW, CRA, dissimilar, and orbital welding • Select and qualify materials for subsea use (carbon, stainless, duplex/super duplex, Inconel) and manage corrosion prevention • Apply international standards (ASME IX, API, ISO, DNV, NACE) and project specifications • Oversee NDT (UT, RT, MPI, DPI), inspections, and quality documentation • Support fabrication, FAT/SIT, and troubleshoot welding/material issues • Proficient with digital tools for document control, welding data, and traceability Interested in this position?
