Job Summary We are looking for a talented and motivated Machinist-Welder to perform precision machining and welding tasks. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both machining and welding, with a strong emphasis on TIG welding, particularly with aluminum. Key Responsibilities • Operate and set up machining equipment (e.g., lathes, mills) to produce precision parts to exact specifications. • Perform TIG welding on various materials, with a focus on aluminum, ensuring strong, clean, and precise welds. • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to execute machining and welding tasks. • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to ensure compliance with tolerances and quality standards. • Maintain and troubleshoot machining and welding equipment to ensure optimal performance. • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and meet project deadlines. • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Required Skills and Qualifications • Proven experience as a machinist and welder, with a minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. • Proficiency in TIG welding, with specific experience welding aluminum (preferred). • Expertise in operating manual machining equipment, including lathes, mills, and grinders. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files. • Familiarity with precision measuring tools and quality control processes. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to OSHA standards.
