Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabricator/Welder Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2 years' experience in fabrication and welding processes, including MIG welding with the ability to interpret drawings. Candidates should possess mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand tools and power tools. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality fabrication projects in a dynamic environment. Duties • Read and interpret drawings for fabrication and assembly projects • Perform MIG welding on sheet metal, pipe, raw steel, and other materials • Operate power tools, hand tools, and other fabrication equipment • Measure and cut metal components accurately, b • Assemble and tack weld parts together before final welding • Choose appropriate metals and welding equipment • Finish product: clean, grind and finish weld to prepare for installation or powder coating • Keep tools and machinery clean and in working order • Welding raw steel and galvanized pipe Experience • Proven expertise in MIG welding • Experience working with sheet metal, piping, or structural and raw steel • Familiarity with drawings and basic math for measurements and calculations • Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication techniques and industry standards • This role requires a dedicated professional capable of working safely in a fast-paced environment while producing high-quality fabricated components. • 2 years' experience Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: • Employee discount • Paid time off • Retirement plan Work Location: In person
