Role Overview – Ironworker 1 ($29-$32) The Ironworker 1 at Battle Born Welding, LLC is the right hand of the Foreman, responsible for executing structural steel installations with precision, safety, and efficiency. This role requires strong technical skills, a deep understanding of structural components, and the ability to work independently while supporting the Foreman’s leadership. Ironworker 1 must be proficient in welding, rigging, blueprint reading, and job site coordination. Key Responsibilities Structural Installation & Execution • Install structural steel components accurately according to blueprints and project specifications. • Perform dual shield, stick, and MIG welding as required. • Execute rigging and crane operations to safely move and place steel. • Work at heights confidently while maintaining strict safety standards. • Ensure measurements and layouts are precise, adhering to (+ -) 1/8” accuracy. Job site Coordination & Support • Assist the Foreman in interpreting blueprints and job plans to execute tasks efficiently. • Communicate clearly with the Foreman and other crew members to maintain workflow. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are accounted for. • Assist with equipment setup, material staging, and crane signaling. JobTread & System Utilization • Log work progress, timecards, and necessary updates in JobTread. • Utilize Stack software for blueprint access and project reference. • Follow company workflows and systems for job tracking and task completion. Safety & Compliance • Adhere to safety standards and all company policies. • Wear and maintain PPE properly, ensuring compliance at all times. • Follow all rigging, equipment, and welding safety protocols. • Participate in job site safety meetings and report hazards immediately. Qualifications & Skills • Minimum 3 years of experience in structural steel installation. • Proficient in blueprint reading and execution. • 3-5 years of welding experience (dual shield, stick, MIG). • OSHA 10 certification required. • Rigging certification with hands-on experience in crane operations. • Forklift, telehandler, aerial lift, and scissor lift certifications. • Tape measure proficiency to 1/16” accuracy with confidence.
