Job Title Welder I - 2nd Shift Work Schedule Onsite – Buffalo, NY Our team in Space and Defense Group is looking for a Welder I to join them. You will report to the Performance Leader and will have an onsite, 2nd shift work schedule in Elma, New York. To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll typically need to bring with you: • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. • At least 1 years of related welding experience. OR • Basic vocational or technical education in related field. As a Welder I, You Will • Operation of electron beam (EB) welding and other arc welding equipment. • Orbital Welding (semi-automatic TIG tube welding) in a clean room environment, setup and prep involved (operates tube trimming equipment, maintains cleanliness standards). Follow, and advise on, written setup procedures. • Operate Tungsten, Inert Gas Welding equipment (T.I.G.), both in a manual and semi-automatic state. • Set-up, adjust equipment, operate, part inspection, and perform different preventative maintenance routines of checking oil, changing filament on EB welders, cleaning filters and vacuum chamber, and disassemble and realign electron gun. • Participate in electronic and mechanical modifications to equipment. • Work from "welding schedule" and worksheets, defining voltage, amperage, and travel distance. These "operator aids" require interpolation to meet specific job requirements. Operator "techniques" are important in considering alignment, distance, slope control, power settings, geometry of weld and proximity to edge. • Assembly of weld process related hardware and fixture installation. Including creating a weld sample, preparing it for inspection and inspecting the results under a microscope to verify requirements. The parts and fixtures inspected under a microscope for weld requirements and workmanship quality. Parts may require dimensional inspection, using a drop gage and indicator. • Work will involve many diversified production and prototype parts and bodies which generally are completely machined at time of welding. Determine operating requirements for voltage, temperature, position, time, and capacities when precise instructions are not available. • Set, monitor, and adjust numerous controls for each weld, dependent on type of material and set-up. Some setups may require CNC programing and may use mathematics, including trigonometry. • Familiar with operation of equipment and welding processes, properties of materials to initiate prototype work, perform complex welds and report results. Be observant for unusual conditions and report to supervisor or engineering. Salary Range Transparency Buffalo, NY $22.00–$27.00 Hourly Salary Range Disclaimer The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Welder/Fabricator

Overview: We are looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join a dynamic metal manufacturing team. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where precision and quality are top priorities.
