Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our 2nd shift team (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM). This position involves precision welding, fabrication, blueprint reading, and material assembly to build high-quality structures according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented team player with a strong mechanical background and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Fabrication & Welding • Welders will perform fit-up, tack welding, and final welding on steel channels, brackets, angles, sheathing, and assemblies. • Weld components using GMAW, GTAW, and other welding processes in multiple positions (3G vertical up, 4F overhead). • Welders will use hand and power shop tools to cut, shape, and prepare materials. • Align and clamp components for accurate welding and fabrication. • Operate angle grinders, torches, and plasma cutters to prepare parts. • Welders will perform machinery repairs by welding and filling gaps as needed. Blueprint Reading & Quality Control • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to ensure accurate assembly. • Welders will conduct measurements, inspections, and quality checks to verify tolerances and dimensions. • Identify and correct fabrication mistakes, incorporating approved design changes when necessary. • Welders will meet production schedules, quality standards, and labor hour requirements.
