Job Description THE ROLE: The Welder/Fabricator will be responsible for fabrication and welding of assemblies in accordance to ASME and Military Standards. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of welding technology and experience, be able to read blueprints and work independently. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Performs all levels of welding-brazing and set-up on Heat Exchanger Product. In accordance with ASME Code and Mil Spec. Requirements, must pass welding and set-up performance qualification tests. Position requires a broad knowledge of welding technology and experience. Methods applied and welding assignments may vary depending on skills and welding ability. • Select and set-up welding equipment required, position, jig up or clamp material to be welded or brazed to dimensional requirements. Adjust current input, select gas to obtain proper weld for maximum strength. • Works from drawings, specifications. Use of scale, square, protractor, templates, straight edge, plumbline and fixed gauges. • Requires ASME Certification, military certificate (brazing) and knowledge of ASME Section IX Standards. • Cleans parts and welds by appropriate means. • Obtains parts and materials within the department. • Clean up debris after completing each job. • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on organizational needs. • $24.36 plus shift differential QUALIFICATIONS: Education: • High School diploma or equivalent • Completion of a vocational school in welding practices Experience: • 1 to 2 years of fabrication set-up and welding • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints. • Must pass a welding test. Physical Demands: • Lifting (30-35 lbs.), manufacturing floor environment • Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move about the facility. • Regularly required to listen, talk to, and see employees on a daily basis. Welding Engineer

Our client is a global leader in the design and manufacture of temperature sensors, compression seal fittings, and cable and harness assemblies for a broad range of industries and applications. Our client services Aerospace, Defense, Oil & Gas, Green Energy, Pharmaceuticals, and Waste Water industries. The Welding Engineer provides technical leadership in support of manufacturing operations specifically in welding and brazing, assembly, and manufacturing environment. This position has a strong focus in welding and manufacturing engineering in day-to-day operations and project-based support based on customer needs. As a Welding Engineer, you will support daily welding operations by applying your technical engineering skillset to analyze process efficiency, troubleshoot defects, perform quality control functions, and drive cost savings. In this role, you will evaluate, apply, and develop complex welding specifications per industry standards and as per customer requirements. You will also be responsible for developing robust and repeatable joining procedures for high-precision components using different welding technologies, such as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Laser Beam Welding (LBW), and Brazing. You will also develop and maintain weld qualification reports, weld procedure specifications, and work instructions as needed. To be successful in this position you should be able to clearly communicate technical details and provide training to operations teammates and customers as needed. If you have strong analysis and communication skills, are resourceful, creative, and take initiative, and have a bachelor's degree in welding, metallurgical, materials science, mechanical or mechanical/chemical engineering from an ABET-accredited program or applicable technical work experience, then we are interested in hearing from you.
