Position Overview: This project requires welders with a solid background in structural and/or pipe welding in industrial or heavy commercial environments. Welders will be responsible for fitting, welding, and inspecting work to ensure it meets or exceeds project standards. This is a travel role - per diem is available for qualified candidates. Pay is based on experience. Competitive hourly rates + per diem. Key Responsibilities: • Perform various types of welding including MIG, TIG, Stick (SMAW/GTAW/GMAW) on structural steel and piping systems • Interpret and work from blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings • Prep materials, cut, grind, and align components as needed • Follow project specifications and welding procedures • Conduct visual and quality inspections on welds; maintain consistent quality • Work in coordination with foremen and other trades to ensure project milestones are met • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment • Report progress, issues, and material needs in a timely manner Requirements: • Minimum 3+ years of welding experience in commercial or industrial environments • Ability to pass weld tests (plate and/or pipe, depending on scope) • Familiarity with various types of welding processes and materials • Must have own welding hood, basic hand tools, and PPE • Willingness to travel to Georgia and work overtime as needed • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or on a team • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check Preferred Qualifications: • Certified welder (AWS or other recognized certs) • OSHA 10 or 30 certification • Prior experience with traveling crews or per diem projects • Comfortable working outdoors or in industrial conditions To Apply: Send your resume directly to admin@unitedtradesamerica.com
