WELDER/FABRICATOR

• Ross Engineering is an 180-year old & growing company that produces Unique and Custom Industrial Mixers used by companies all over the world for the manufacturing of paints, inks, chemicals, foods and pharmaceuticals. This Location is in Savannah GA and employs approximately 40 people operating one daytime shift M-F. Ross also has locations in Long Island New York, and Port St. Lucie FL. Job Description: • Will be responsible for interpreting engineering drawings, fitting and welding metal components, operating welding equipment, and ensuring the quality and integrity of welds. • Will be Required to pass one or multiple ASME weld test once hired. • Performs all tasks to ASME standards and requirements. • Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels, as well as correct components installed on the finished product • Updates and maintains all required documentation associated with job responsibilities • Assume responsibility and care of assigned tools and equipment • Welds metal parts on fixtures including attaching jigs and clamps to hold metal parts in proper position • Stick, TIG, & MIG (Sub-Arc would be a great addition as well). Weld materials in flat, vertical, and overhead positions once ASME weld test is pass. • Cut materials using air arcs, burning rods, and acetylene/oxygen cutting torches to fit fabrication and job requirements. • Problem Solving. Must be able to problem solve and make independent decisions regarding weld draws while fabricating and addressing other issues. • Required/Recommended Skills: • High School Diploma or GED. • Proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG, TIG and Stick welding. • Technical training or welding experience strongly preferred. • Ability to work with precision instruments. • Good attention to detail and organizational skills. • Technical training or welding experience strongly preferred. • Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance

Leading Savannah manufacturing facility is seeking a MIG Welder for immediate hire. The Welder will use specialized equipment to weld and assemble new metal forms.
